If you're a fan of new stats and new features, then you're going to love the latest update from Holdem Manager 2. The top-notch poker tracking and analysis software has added BB Per Hour and Vs Squeeze stats to its already impressive lineup, which gives users of Holdem Manager 2 even more firepower to go to war with on the virtual felts. The stats are part of a major release of Holdem Manager 2, which is one of the largest ever rolled out.
A press release from Holdem Manager officials sent to PokerSoftware trumpeted the arrival of the major rollout: "Faster performance, feature improvements, and multiple parsing updates highlight HM2’s biggest release to date. The new Database Update Utility brings ease of use to the forefront. From time to time, we update the HM2 database to support new features or to make overall performance improvements. These Database Updates require a manual re-import of hands. Now, HM2 will inform users of the needed database update and perform the update with a single click of the mouse!"
Along with the new stats and lightning quick updates, the same press release from Holdem Manager lauded, "Graph loading is now very fast and there are general overall performance improvements everyone will notice." Faster performance means less of a drain on system resources and, more importantly, your time spent waiting for the program to work will decrease. Also, the faster you view your graphs, the faster you can analyze your own play and make adjustments.
Several of HM2's Apps, including Leak Buster, NoteCaddy, and TableScanner, also have new updates, so make sure your versions of each of these programs are up-to-date so you can enjoy the latest enhancements. As the same press release flaunts, "HM2 is the most feature-rich poker analytical software on the market today supporting the largest databases. With exclusive features like Vs Hero HUD Stats, Live Tracking, Opponent Line analysis, HM Sync, and the iPhone app, there isn’t a more complete piece of poker analytical software on the market."
Holdem Manager, which is in its second incarnation, runs $89.99 for the Professional version, $149.99 for the Pro Combo: Holdem + Omaha, and $54.99 for the Small-Stakes edition. There's also a free 30-day trial available in case you want to take it for a test drive.
On a side note, a recent blog post on HM's website asked if a Mac version of Holdem Manager 2 would be released any time soon. Holdem Manager officials shared, "Yes, at some point. This is something we have talked about and have labeled as a future project. The major hurdle is not having an experienced Mac developer to head this project." In the meantime, Mac users can employ a program like Parallels or Boot Camp in order to take advantage of all that Holdem Manager 2 has to offer.
